DDM Tuning HID kit question?????
i just recently bought HID fogs from them for my e90 pre-lci and im hearing this stuff about errors and resistors??? Wonderful. theyre on back order now so im waiting another week before i get them. But i read somewhere that if you dont buy the 55w ballast then it will throw an error because the OEM light is a 55w. Not too sure on this tho. But I bought the 35w from DDM not thinking, do you think i should change it to 55w? and i also bought the eliminators too. so we'll see..

i had the DDM 55w on my e46. yes, they required resistors, but they were very bright and i thought they were a very good product. also, the DDM guys were great to work with, and i couldnt beat the price

+1 on DDM being good peeps. Ask them questions. If the person you talk to doesn't know about the e9x, chances are, there's somebody there that does.
55w is too bright for fogs imo. |

55w isnt that much brighter just less glare when projectors are not used.
but they do produce much greater heat... which therefore fog light casing may be bit too small to handle the heat. if i remember correctly, the capacitor show in the link needs to be placed before the ballast not after it. because if the ballast is a 35w ballast, then the capacitor needs to be drawing up the regular wattage and only releasing the right amount for the ballast. placing it anywhere else defeats the purpose of installing a cap in my opinion.
