For those naysayers who said it couldn't be done.
It's done!!!!! ![]() So, specs: E90 328i 2011 LCI Factory Halogens - Used Pre-LCI Angel Eye LEDs (6watts); but it wasn't without blood. I made a special bracket to support the Angel eyes as the Pre-LCI have a smaller mounting location. LCI Halogen Angel Eye Bulbs have a wider mounting track but, I fashioned a bracket to secure it down with original screws and in the original location. So, it is permissibly revertable to factory, if I need or if I am so inclined to make her ugly again. Now some vanity: Before ![]() After: ![]() ![]() ![]() Direct Sunlight shot ![]() Also, #2 HID conversion Kit on Factory Halogen housing. I know it's said that it cannot be done. But it is done. I went to my go-to electronics guy whom i've been dealing with for 20+ years. He did some calculations, and configured a series of electronics in there to "fool" the ECM into thinking that halogens bulbs were in the car and wired to boot. So, moral of the story. No more "bulb out" warning. And no more "power kill" by the ECM. I couldn't be happier. ![]() So for your red headed step children out there. Do NOT FEEL left out. It can be done. Anyway, just wanted to share. Carry on. Redneck out. |

weisslicht .
That's interesting. I just checked them out. But all of their write-ups seem to discuss factory Xenons. It doesn't seem to work for Halogens. I know the product is there, but I don't see any reference to them. I'm wondering if there is an LED solution for Factory Halogen LCI e90 models. I haven't found one that doesn't require replacing the ENTIRE halo itself. I'm not really about to spend $500 on that. I'd love to, but don't see a need. For that price, I'd much rather just purchase the factory Xenons, but that's me. |

I used to make LUX for the LCI Halogen, but they just sold out. If people want more of them i can make more!
the unit was a simple plug and play solution, no need to cut wires or anything |

I made a bracket to fit the 2011 328 halogens. I used PLCI LEDs, and they were fine, but like I mentioned in the OP, the mounting location for LCI is different.
THere's actually only 1 set on ebay right now that works with 2011 halogen LCI. Whoever came up with this is F>Kn brilliant. He just created a bracket to secure it. The LEDs didn't change. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2-LED...Q5fAccessories Check it! |

Reach behind huh?
There was no possible way for me. I was using a PLCI LED, and I put it on an LCI Halogen E90. Bumpers, wheel well, clips, plugs, screws. It ALL CAME OUT !!!! You must got some Skillz SON!!! I had to fashion a bracket, so that required precision. |
