The "Dealer Prep" Phone Call
My CA said I shuld expect a phone call shortly from the dealership asking me what kind of prep items I might want for my e92. Should everything be avoided(paint sealant, that sort of thing) or is there anything that I should consider getting?
Thanks in advance. |

Run, don't walk, to the nearest exit. Your car has no need for the various 'protection' packages. What is does need is your TLC and attention. Check out the products on autopia-carcare.com (no affiliation) and give your new addition the care she deserves. Oh.....and DON'T let the dealer wash her. The jet black paint is tender. Btw...same equip (less nav) and color combo. It rocks and gets many compliments. Enjoy.

Read the stickies in Detailing sub-forum, and especially the one from Picus at http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=41760 You got black because it looks the best when clean, so make sure it starts life the right way. Don't let them apply the "dealer installed swirls" from Day 1. And make sure they put in your dealer profile to NEVER wash your car after service... Congrats on the new car and good luck with the delivery!!!
