How good is wheel and tire protection?
I understand the details about the tires. But does it only cover bent wheels, or wheels that are rendered undrivable? The reason I am asking is, I severely chipped a rim going through a pothole, and was wondering if they would cover that. I am assuming this is wishful thinking on my part, but wanted to at least ask the question.

There are a zillion different types of wheel/tire warranties but unless it specifically addresses cosmetic damage then the rule of thumb is if it holds air then it is OK.
