Bmw Collision Center

I have a pretty deep gash on the rear bumper. I don't know how it happened. Maybe the plow, because I had the car cover on and it was ripped in the same spot above the gash. I'm taking it in to the BMW collision center to get fixed. They said there is no need to redo the entire bumper. I don't know what steps they take to repair the bumper. I hope they do a excellent job. The cost is $350, and it's being done at Wide World Of Cars. Has anyone had collision work done at a BMW center? Were you satisfied with the quality of work?

although i haven't had any work done from them...

but if they do a good job they should practically sand the whole bumper and repaint the whole thing again...it comes out pretty darn new..

I usually have any BMW work done by Hassel BMWs bodyshop in Freeport, which is a genuine BMW repair center. If you want to make the further trip out you can head up to MAC in Glen Cove, I believe they are the only other shop legitly certified by BMW for repair work. You cant go wrong with them at all

Thank you guys

Yes, we've been BMW trained and authorized since 1994 (we're old, lol)!

OP- I can't speak to WW's quality, but have been in factory training with the manager and he seems very knowledgable. Good luck with your repair process!

I got my repairs done at a BMW collision center after I got hit from behind and was pushed into a median. They had to get me a new front and rear bumper... The front was fine, but there was a mark on my bumper from the hose the painter used when he was putting on the clear coat. I was furious because I needed the car that day. They credited me 250$ and claimed that would cover it to get resprayed... Turns out it didnt

They also forgot to put my locking bolt on my front left tire, I realized this as I was driving away.

Not a great experience :/

Sorry about your experience. Have you since had it fixed? I hope they do a good job on my rear bumper. I would think they do quality work since they also work on Ferrari's. I'm hoping for the best.

Thumbs up

I dropped off my car on Monday, JAY called me Tuesday to say it was ready. I agree, Jay is a nice guy. He said the bumper looks like new. He also arranged to have my car delivered to my house because he didn't want to leave it in the lot with another snow storm coming. I have yet to see the work, However, I'm sure it's a job well done. And with your post I feel good. Thanks. Bye the way, nice car and be careful driving in the storm. My car will be parked.

Thanks for the caution man
Though, i drove through last (december) blizzard from Philly to Nyack in the heart of the storm.
It felt great that we came back home nice and sound without any hint of worry
This car is a tank
I'm hoping to have some fun tomorrow as well
I'm usually looking for any reason just to go out and drive in snow
Love it!

Yes you can go wrong with Hassel. A couple of years ago, they gave me my car back but forgot to tighten the bolts of the rear end. Coming off the throgs neck bridge, I lost my brakes, transmission and emergency brakes. Begged me to take the car back and promised to do anything I needed before I returned the lease. They just want back on their word yesterday because I didn't get it in writing.

Sorry to hear about this, that sounds terrible. We are talking about the Hassel body shop though.

1-I know Jay VERY well (homo block) from our training and certifications on the BMW program

2-I know Derek/Joe @ MAC equally as well and wanted to be gainfully employed with MAC.

Take it for what its worth and read between the lines if you like!
