Just checked my tire pressure after 3 weeks..WOW

Ok so I thought I was just trying to get used to the RFTs. They were tramlining everywhere and the car felt a little sloppy.

I did some heavy work on the search button and figured Id better check my pressure since I hadnt since my car was delivered last month.

30 front, 39 rear....NO WONDER!!

After settling on 35 for the front and 38 for the rear I made the changes.

On the way home it was like a new car(all over again). Tramlining was virtually eliminated and it felt more responsive with steering inputs.

Thank you forum.

RFT's and this car in general very fusy about having just the right tire pressure set. The handbook says check every 2 weeks and I too learned the hard way that they are not kidding!
If you want to reduce tramling, improve grip on bad roads and ride further you need standard tires. Feel what happens in winter tempertures with more miles on the tires.

if you put more pressure up in the front tires, you will experience a bit better handling....

and 38 seams to be a little high IMO, i would go 37front and 34rear.

I agree. I couldn't wait to get the RFT's off the car.

does the e92 335i tell you the pressure on the monitor system? (the exact number) or do you still have to do it with your tire gage outside the car. Then set it.

Still have to do it outside the car if you dont have iDrive.

That being said, putting the pressure up in the front increased smoothness and driveability TONS.

However, yesterday I was cruising on the parkway averaging 85-90mph and the car felt like shit. It was so numb and the steering had no feel. The deadspot on center was so large I felt like I was driving an 18wheeler. Honestly, it felt like I was riding on blizzaks, like jelly.

As much as I was afraid I would want to get rid of my M3 because of this car, its only helping me love it more and never get rid of it.

it does not say the tire pressure. You have to measure it yourself.
