Light on Dash

Firstly apologies for the lack of technical terms on this one but please bear with me...

yesterday, driving to work on the motorway all of a sudden I get a orange triangle in a circle i think (think its the traction control light?) came on and also the tyre light (the one with an exclamation mark within a U type thing)...

I know that doesnt really make sense but if it does to anyone can you tell me what it means??

I stopped at services, switched car off and back on and lights were gone.

Im pretty sure the exclamation mark icon was the reset icon when you put air in tyres. checked air in tyres and all were ok (2 bar at front and 2.4 bar at back)

Any ideas?

The triangle occurs when the temperature drops to 3 deg C or below - could it be that. As for the tyre warning, don't know. Mine didn't come on even when I had a puncture.

same thing happened to me last week but my tire light didnt go off, checked the tire pressure and everything was fine so just did a reset and it fixed itself. and the triangle appears when the temps are really low.

dont want to be the bearer of bad news but the signs u got means the dtc / dsc has failed and is around a £1500 fix...yes £1500!!!

the exact same happene to me today but luckily the lights went off when i switched and restarted!

but if the warning lights remain then its time to dig deeeep in those pockets!!

dtc failure is a common problem of 4 cylinder 2005 -2006 e90 models, there is a number of threads about them on here.

they're so common that many dealerships usually give a goodwill gesture towards it repair but alot dont!!

im praying the warning lights dont come back!!!!

Wheel velocity sensors can also play havoc with the stability computer and/or ABS.

You need to get the error codes read before jumping to any (expensive) conclusions.
