Anyone use intake scoops with there DCI?

Just like the title, anyone use intake scoops with there dual cone intake??

Kinda like the pic below. I'm just using the link below as a pic preference. I wanted to get one b/c i still have my oem one attached... i dk if i should just take it off or leave it on. Was thinking about getting intake scoops and painting them... what color though???

http://www.**********s.com/335i-Inta...s-54-11478.htm

Are these beneficial? or are they more for looks??

From all the things I've read, they are for looks and have no real gains.

You will not see any gains from this search this forum and you will see. Realistically something that big will decrease the cooling affect of your engine look at how much area it is blocking. Our turbos are force feeding our motors already so scoops wont work period. Scoops and ram air will only benefit an NA engine. Sure some vendor will tell you you will see benefit when you drive beyond 120 mph. Thats why there are no dyno graphs for this item......

They do nothing but distribute dirt all over your engine bay...

They will pull in more air, cooling down the engine bay SLIGHTLY if that.. you wont really see any gains to be honest. I have them on , but its just a cosmetic thing.
