Ok so technically Im sound, but when it comes to the financials, I could get my a$$ kicked by a fifth grader ... Do these numbers seem to jive?

335i Coupe

52270 - MSRP
51270 - Negotiated Price
36m/12k
MF = .0020
Res = 60%
1246.64 = DO
Tax (SD = 8.25 - I believe)

800/month (w/ tax)

what car is this?? 335 coupe, sedan, convertible??
Also, what is your acquistion fee/bank fee?

Regardless, the payment is off by $30-40 depending on what your answers to the above questions are.

Yes Ive gotten the "We dont offer anything off the coupe" from a couple of dealers. One dealer who offered $500 off of the price and also the offer below. Do you think the offer I posted above isnt so hot?

I'm not a leasing guru, so it would not be fair for me to say one way or another. What I do know is that you should be happy with the best deal that you can get. Some will pay more, some will pay less.

this is what I got by putting in the numbers you provided. I assumed that the $2,000 due at signing includes the acquisition/bank fee. It should be pretty dead on if the dealer were to put in the same factors.

Also, take a look at the amount you're paying for the car at the end of 3 years (almost $28k). Which means that you're paying over 50% for the car over 3 years. I would suggest buy it and finance for 5 years. THen just sell it back after 3 years. That's just my opinion because the whole point of leasing is lower mo/payments and new car every 2/3 years.

i'm trying to work backwards somehow using your $792 payment...
I'm assuming money factors and acquisition fees were not disclosed for this second quote....

so based on the numbers I have available to me...I'd say this is one way it could have been figured:

MSRP: $52,620
Negotiated Price: $50,785
MF: .0021
Acq Fee: $825 (rolled into lease)
36 mo/12k mi/yr lease

Total Payment: $791.62 ($556.61 Deprec. + $174.68 Interest + $60.33 tax)

Due at signing
First payment: $791.62
Security Deposit: $800
Registration: $408

Total Due at signing: $1999.62

It's kind of hard to work backwards, since there are so many variables....
let me see what I can figure out for the first quote...
