Price Protection- is this true ?

I ordered the 335i coupone back in feb. with base price of $40,600. I think back in march, the price went up to $40,800. Do I have to pay the $200 increase since I ordered before it went up. Sales told me protection on rate and residual, not price. Is this true... anyone have the same encounter ?

according to what I have heard the dealership only needs to hold your price for 60 days

BMWNA has price protected all orders before 3/1/07. The increase in destination charge is at the discretion of the selling dealer. Your lease rate is protected for 60 days after approval from BMWFS.

I was quoted one price in early February 2007 and ordered on March 17, 2007. The effective increaseon my configuration was more than $500 and my dealership honored the original quoted price from February. I was working through the Internet Department. Needless to say, I was a very happy camper...
