Smile Aluminum Trim vs. Dark Burl - Comments?

I am excited to say I just ordered a 335d. 425lbs of Diesel Torque..better buy a neck brace too.

Pretty easy option decisions for me but I am leaning towards the Aluminum interior trim. I currently have a dark burl walnut. This is a minor detail, but I just can't make up my mind. Aluminum looks cool..Dark Burl looks luxurious...Any comments from the peanut gallery .

BTW..I went with the space grey metallic, black leather, Premium, Sport, Paddles, Cold Weather, Nav, Comfort Access, Harmon Kardon, Ipod.

I like my aluminum ... it's a sportier look and more rare. With that being said, it does get dinged up a lot from normal wear and tear.

Al makes the e90 interior look a bit dated I think, its way too bland. I vote wood, much more inviting, warm and luxorious.

def go with the aluminum, looks a lot sportier as above is stated and is better for resale value IMO. There seems to be a lot more demand for the aluminum i have noticed with our customers.

i have black with wood, and it looks good. I think aluminum looks good with the chestnut and saddle interiors but not with the black.

I ordered the Space Grey Metalic with Black Leather and Darl Burl Trim, my car is due for delivery this week.
The Aluminium trim, IMO, looks less sassy and is commonly seen in most other cars. But beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

I think Aluminum trim looks cheap and chintzy in any car. Fortunately BMW uses real brushed aluminum but for every one BMW with metal trim you can count 10 cheap aZn cars with faux (painted plastics) aluminum.

^ And the same could be said for the 'fake' wood "look."

It's all in opinion...

IMHO. Aluminum is for a sporty looks and wood is for more luxurous classy looks

I went with red coral leather with alum trim on my 335i

Another vote for Brushed aluminum, especially with black dakota. That's what I have in my 330i and I wouldn't have it any other way.

It's not "Fake" wood, it's real and i think it looks fine. I think the OP made a good decision. I had black with aluminum and it was sporty but sterile. My 2011 has saddle and dark burl and it's richer and warmer.

I vote for aluminum....it brightens up the car on the inside, otherwise too much black is too depressing.
