Intake question?

So I was reading about the rfd scoops that jbspeed sell. They stated that with a stock airbox, expect around a 8-15 hp gain on speeds 70+. I was wondering if I was to switch back to stock and do a filter drop in and charcoal delete, would that be more efficient in terms of performance over time. To be honest, I don't mind my aFe, but the airbox isnt there with this intake, and this way would be much cheaper

I was leaning towards this anyway. So I take it that this route would be more efficient than the aFe?

anything is more efficient with than the afe. however, you wont gain 8-15 hp with scoops. sorry. youll be lucky to gain a few hp at high speeds. maybe.

when you all reference the "afe" you mean their ~ $300 CAI and not their $60 drop in replacement filter right?

think of scoops as a cosmetic thing at best, they dont do much at all except make your engine dirtier then before
