My 335i Lease.. I think I got a good deal -->

Picking up my 335i Coupe in the morning. Paperwork is done. Ordered it in Feb.

MSRP = $52,109 (yeah almost every option with aero kit)
Total Due Signing = $6500 (no other hidden fees)
10k/year 36 month = $650/month AFTER taxes

They "Claimed" I got $2300 off MSRP because I had to wait so long and I grew up with a few people at the dealership. No telling how they moved numbers around, they started at 6k down $850/month and I laughed.

Good deal or am I just not good with understanding leases?

All those options gave them a lot of margin, but $2300 off MSRP is a good deal.

6k down $850/month would have been just plain wrong.
But $0 down, $850/mo would have been about right.

hmmm...$6500 down is a boatload of money. hope you're using that to lower the MF (interest). THat alone would save you about $50-70 a month.

I know but I wanted to lower the payments. The car was probably too much money for wanting to be in the $600 range.

honestly, do you really need the car to be fully loaded?? I buy a BMW because I want to drive it and sometimes wanna be pampered. If you feel the need to be pampered all the time u should get a Lexus.

Instead of putting that money down, use it to lower your MF (interest). ALso consider doing European Delivery.

49,700 Sticker, little under 4K (includes everything)down 620 a month including tax(California) 12K a year 3 years. I think I was about 800 over invoice this was back in November we ordered the car got it Jan.

Also remember, they can not lock a rate in until they have the car, once the car comes rates might change, and they will bump it up, if rates go down, I doubt they will even tell you, so ask around please and do not put 6K down, because if the car gets totaled, they just pay it off, and you lose that 6K.

I dont know where u got that from but you can lock in the rate for 60 days from the end of that rate period. I think it's when you submit the credit app. that the rates will be locked in. If the rates lower in the next month or 2 u can get the new rate instead. If not, you're locked in with the old rate.

the danger with a large downpayment is that if the car is totalled early in the lease, all the downpayment is lost. MSD is much safer.

+1.

If you put down $6000 on a lease, that's not very smart IMO.

What is the OP's money factor? The deal doesn't sound that great IMO. If you can't afford an extra 100-200 month, you are probably buying a car out of your budget.

Wish you would've told me this sooner, haha, they wouldn't lock me in, thats what my dealer told me, I think I still got a smoking deal though.
