2007 E92 320d Clutch Judder Revs Hunting please help.....

PLease help as I am loosing patience with my dealer and someone is likely to get killed. I have been hit this winter with the loss of my left head lamp washer as have lots of peeps. Last year my car was within warranty so BMW who have accepted liability of this part and is faulty replaced it free of charge from a main dealer in Dublin. This year when it occurred the BMW Dealer in the U.K had decided as my car was not within warranty I would be charged for this. After my explaining to the service manager that BMW have accepted liability and after a call to U.K customer service BMW replaced the part free of charge.

When I got the car back from the dealer I noticed that the revs were moving up and down (which I have now found out from a family member is called hunting), I immediately called the service manager who asked me to bring the car down so they could check they had not knocked off any pipes of connections. When I arrived the manager brought out a technician who confirmed to me that it was hunting and a component was broken or breaking, they then took the car and after looking for 30 mins he told me that they couldn’t see anything and would need to put the car onto the computer to see what’s up and this would cost money. As I had a service booked for oil change and micro filer a few days later he said he would do it at the same time. I took the car in yesterday for the service and again explained about the hunting issue I got the car back where they had completed all of the service and told me that the tech took the car for a test drive and has said that the fix to my problem is a clutch judder update costing 2hours £216???

I have spoken to another dealer who has told me that this update would not cure the hunting and that there is a component issue which I suspected. After calling my local dealer back they told me that there had been a mix up in communication and that they would take the car back in and connect the computer to find out what’s wrong, which they would not charge me for BUT then they would need to run a test module that would take 2 hours and cost …..Yes u guessed £216!!! Is this a conspiracy cos I made them replace the washer for free and there trying to get the money back some how????

The hunting only started when I received the car back from them for head lamp washer replacement and I have had the judder since I owned the car from new….I just thought it was my bad driving …….

Some one please help what do I need to do my dealer is a complete D&*K!!!!
