Installer for Turbo Upgrade in NorCal?

Anyone know of a shop in NorCal they would trust with doing a Turbo upgrade on a 335?

I am seriously considering getting the RB Turbos but would only want the install performed by someone who has a lot of experience and doesn't charge longer than the estimated 10-11 hours.

Anyone have any recommendations?

I'll answer my own question.

If in Norcal I highly recommend SonicMS in Mountain View for installs. They just finished installation of RB Turbos in my 335, great job and a fair price.

"Hey was that blue E90 yours?"

Yes the not so clean blue 335 Sedan is mine The lack of muffler and wheel upgrades helps with the sleeper look. Just need to get my Meth system working now - or hopefully someone will make progress on the LPFP fueling!

"Glad you are happy with our services. You have the ultimate sleeper E90 335i!"

Hey Calvin,

great job SonicMS did, very happy with the car. You guys should raise your visibility on this forum more, now there are 335s reaching the end of the warranty I am sure a load of people will be wanted to get DP, FMIC, Meth and some Turbo installs.

Next time you see me it will be for suspension mods, need to get rid of that mushy handling feeling. Some M3 suspension parts and perhaps a LSD.

Cheers,

A.

"how are the big new turbos feeling?"

Big and scary. When you first get a tune you know how the pickup in the gears seems to go down one level - i.e. 3rd fells like a stock 2nd, 4th like 3rd - well with the RB Turbos this continues. Accidentally was in 6th thought it was 4th and I didn't realize for a few seconds, car just pulled.

Car is just stupid fast now. Haven't found any cars in the 'bigger league' to test against yet. Would like to see how it fares against a recent Porsche turbo (from a roll), also interested to see how it goes with M5 and M6. Stock M3 I would expect to walk - but we'll see, you never know what other big league sleeper cars are out there to give a surprise.

Losing my car for a few days so no vids. Shiv is going to take it for a few days, and work his firmware/map magic on it. Watch out for some new record Dyno runs soon.

Here's some pics I snapped of the install....

The RB turbos are identical in terms of outer appearance with stock, it's the internals that are beefed up
