Hpfp, needs a tow, misfire can get u to a store or repair..

Both my HPFP were replaced without leaving me stranded. Simply threw a code and had a longer then usual crank during the start.

A worst case scenario of a HPFP failure would be a car driving and completely shut off from catostrphic failure of the pump which is HIGHLY irregular but still could happen.

Like I said the point is moot, all cars have their flaws.
