we ended up paying $700 + labour to replace the window, the BMW roadside assist guy said the little rear quarter window actually costs more than the passenger window, he used a little sharp object tool to break the window.

btw our car didnt have comfort access but it was the auto-lock function that locked our daugther inside!!

I went through it all on a non CA car.

It was a bloody pain.

But did you know, as i've found, that you can lock someone in your car and they can't get out no matter what?

Best thing to do is that even if you're opening a door or the boot, double-unlock the car!

I call my Service Advisor jus then. He said that if u push the lock button on the remote, it overide everything else therefore if u toss key in car or boot after u press lock and close it with key inside, u will lock urself out.

The only sinerio that CA will help u not lock urself out is when u have the keys inside the car and press the lock sensor on door handle. It is probably the same for the boot. If CA detect key in boot, it will not shut. Unless if u press the lock button then toss the keys in i think. Correct me if im wrong coz i havent try the boot yet.

BMW assist in AUS sux... why cant we just get the full service like in the state. We are paying twice as much for the cars too. Seriously...

As also proven by the pricing on the BMW 1M!

We can't have full service here due to the Privacy Commissioner.
