TPMS question

I need to buy new rims/tires. I have a 2007 328xi coupe.
Would the 2011 TPMS work with my car?

Thanks.

On my 2007 model there are no sensors in the rims. It just monitors if the roll distance between the wheels changes. So if you put on rims with sensors from a 2011 car, those sensor simply won't do anything. Your original system will keep on monitoring your tires.

Yes, but it goes away quickly. I thought I'd be annoyed by the TPMS light on my '11 when I ran my TPMS/winter set up from my '07, but it didn't bother me one bit.
