Cobb 'ed FTW
After driving my 08 335i with a SSTT for 1000 miles I recently got a Cobb Accessport. I used to race time trials with Subaru Sti's years ago and was a huge fan of cobb accessports. After installing the Cobb I was amazed at how effortlessly the car took off. When you put the AT in Sport mode you can really feel the increased torque in the Tranny.
Holy Crap the car feels fast. I can't wait for a stage two map, and the install of my Magnaflow mufflers and DCI. Cobb for the win! |

what is supposed to be the difference between stage 1 and 2 maps?

Its not out yet so no confirmation but I would guess around 16psi.

im pretty sure the difference between stage 1 and stage 2 is not only more boost but also afr and timing, there may be more im not 100% sure. stage 1 is for stock cars where as stage 2 is for cars with basic mods like fmic, intake, exhaust, basically bolt-ons.

Agree, I oversimplified by saying boost. I am sure they will be doing alot to get the boost up safely.

Stage 2 will probably raise boost and timing according to the higher knock thereshold given by lower IATs from a bigger intercooler, faster exhaust gas expelling and lower EGT temperature by using catless downpipes, less backpressure by using a catless exhaust. Stage 2 will also have to take into account the fact that boost builds much faster because of the catless setup, and the boost overshoots need to be dealt whith.

ok thanks, since I am not going to do any further mods, stage 1 is fine with me then.
