Will replacement be free if 4800 miles left on rear breaks.

At what point will the www.dealerspeed.net website show the dealer it is recommended that my breaks are replaced? The car says I have 4800 miles left on the rear. My front breaks told the dealer it is recommend that they are replaced when they had 3,728 miles left. I am looking for the magic number of miles as i only have a few weeks of free maintenance left. The dealer said they will do it if the website says it is recommended that they are replaced. I know the dealerspeed website is for dealers only, but I am thinking someone out there may see a lot of these come into their store and will have a pretty good idea where the mark is.

The dealer will actually measure the brake pad/rotor thickness to determine whether the brake pad/rotor is worn beyond the spec.
The in car computer just tells you a condition based calculation.

^^^until the sensor starts wearing, then the pad-life calculation is much more accurate with this additional input.

They won't replace the brakes until the car indicates the pads are worn to the min. thickness spec. The wear sensor determines when that is. The free brake job BMW says they give you is only if the brakes wear out before 4yr/50,000 miles. Just the way it is.

Try to wear it down to half those mileages and they may switch it out to you. But with that much more mileage to go. I don't think so
