I'm following the instructions in this thread:

However, I have the v3 harness and not the v4. Are they essentially the same? I only ask because in the thread the wire to remove is yellow and not connected to anything (that I can tell). In my harness, it is purple and connected to the bundle so I don't know where it leads.



I haven't had the greatest luck with my car the last few weeks, so just want to make sure before I do something wrong.
