NEW 335 owner...what tune????

Hi, I just bought the car last weekend and love everything about it...it's an 07 sedan with the auto.

I'm wondering what tune would be ideal for a 335 COMPLETELY stock? I've seen a couple cars with the JB3...would that be a feasible option??

As far as warranty goes, if I were to get a piggyback would the scanner be able to erase any knowledge of the tune on the car?? Or would a over boost code be permanently recorded to the ECU??
Any input would be greatly appreciated!!

Thanks,
Drew

Yeah I've been reading up but only have my Phone so its a pain in the ass to research.. I know these are commonly asked questions..

With the jb3 I can download different maps via USB on my computer, did I read that correctly?

You will prolly get a lot of different answers but If you are worried about warranty then I would go with Cobb. The ease of uninstalling and just leaving the accessport at home when you head to the dealership is why I recommend it. I don't believe there is an official answer that BMW can't or won't detect any flash or piggyback. If I remember right...there is a thread where cobb tested this and bmw did not detect any change to the ECU after reflashing it back to stock and uninstalling the AP. I could be wrong though and I'm to lazy to search for it.

I have PROceed and it has autotune function which will tune itself to find the best performance for your car. It also has the code clearing feature, and I have had ZERO problems at the dealership. As far as the installation goes, just watch the instruction video on your first time and it gets easier and easier as you practice. Now I can install/uninstall in 15 mins max. Even without any other supporting mods, you will feel hugh gain with only PROceed. You will be happy with it

There are 1000 opinions and noone seems to have any major problems with the current options, GIAC, Procede, JB3, Cobb, Dinan, etc. I spent two years on the forum researching before I committed to a tune and I chose Procede. I have never regretted it and the continued enhancements are AMAZING!!

Just my 2 cents.

Welcome to the 335i world, by the way!

I HAD Dinan Stage 2, now I will have Procede in a few hours... I will repost and let you know the difference. Do you research yourself though, like others said, you will get 1000 opinions... some spirited....

Like many said there jb4, procede, and Cobb. But you can't even get Cobb yet, they don't support 07 yet.

My vote would go to the PROcede, but like others recommend you do your research and go with the product that meets your needs/price range/etc.

Stick with the big 4...JB4/Procede/Cobb/GIAC. All have their problems/benefits. All those problems/benefits have been discussed 21639861238762 times. Search until your heart is content.

Sweet thanks for clearing that up....would a DCI be worth the money once the tune is installed?? I've heard stock it has very little (if any) power gains...is this a different story once the boost levels are raised??

Just different updates/improvements. The newest of those being the v5. Anything v3 rev2 and newer can be updated to the newest v5 firmware if you were looking at getting a used one.
