newbie here what to buy next?

Hey all,

After my first partial detail and a week gone by with 160mile the car still looks bling! I got the BUG... and blame most of you on here

What i have.

clay autoglym
autoglym lubriacant
hd wax autoglym
autoglym shampoo
SRP autoglym
FK1000p to arrive on wednesday for alloys
optiseal to arrive on wednesday for coat under wax
turtle wax back to black tyres.

What i dont have.

Grit guards.
lambswool mit.
microfiber towels to dab dry.
Lance and pre wash shampoo.
wheel detail brushes.
alloy wheel cleaner.

'I dont haves' will cost £160 at least. I have already spanked £180 last time and am trying to get things in order of importance now and not impulse.

The autoglym is a family thing. Dad has used it for as long as I can remeber and I had no knowledge of other products apart from halfords own.

Any suggestions welcome.

I would worry about the things "you don't have". They are very important parts of the detailing process. Number one should be two buckets with grit guards. That will prevent you from damaging the paint and making your detail list get longer with products needed to fix defective paint

If you like the product you are using then stick with it. Just grow your tool inventory for now! Be sure to get waffle weave towels for drying and separate towels for other jobs. Then separate them accordingly. Get some microfiber restore to keep them in tip top shape. Good luck

So i have found myself another expensive hobby and spanked another £120. Cheers guys again...

Got the buckets and grits guards and was very surprised to see all the debris in the rinse bucket.
Lambs wool mit.
2 waffle towels and dried the car in half the time.
detail brush. sweet. but kept catching the tip on some part of the drake disc. I can feel it to touch but don't know what it is exactly.
valet pro billberry wheel cleaner made life dam easy used with the meguiars sprayer. Couldn't resist another liquid. The packaging says pressure wash off, Is this essential? Can a flush with a bucket of water suffice?

Yesterday i used the FK1000p on the alloys. Very bling. They need claying but I will leave that for another month.

I have had 3 comments already from the neighbours in my apartment, mainly can I do their cars.

Get some 303 protectant. You can use it in the interior, on leather, engine bay, and tires. It a a really good universal protectant I highly recommend!
