Hi,

I wasnt sure if this had been covered before, if so, please help me out with a link.

Ive always thought that the corner light on the e92 and its orange luminescence was quite ugly, but at the same time realize that having something blink orange when im turning, is important for the safety of all those around me..

has anyone figure out a way to have that bulb only light up when the turn signals or emergency blinkers are activated.

During DRL mode, those lights are not on, but when the high beams are active, the orange bulbs are on aswell.... Im thinking there might be away to by pass this?

Any thoughts?

since you asked...in the e90, yes this is possible...is it the same in the e92...I don't know:

i think that someone here wrote a while ago that the bulbs in the e92s are different than the e90 and that no one yet makes aftermarket bulbs to replace the amber ones. maybe its changed by now b/c i want to swap out both amber bulbs for either clear/silver bulbs that flash amber.

can anyone else help?

I dont think i want to replace the amber bulbs for the reason that when i turn my signal on, i DO want it to flash orange, for the safety of me and others around me.

I was wondering if there was a circuit modification that could be done to have that bulb NOT be lit during all other operations.

there are currently no clear bulbs made for the E92 corners. they are different from the corners of the E90, and are extremely rare.

that's what the e90 corner delete mod is. see if you ca do something similar in the e92.

you should check out led bulbs with resistors (white when off, amber when on) from jlevisw.com

If you were to do the corner delete mod, you can have them on only when the turn signal is blinking. Check out Chesmu's Corner delete mod he linked to.

I think this would be an amazing mod for the E92. If the Orange LED was still on, but everything else amber was out, it would look great!!!

But the E92 has two orange lights, one is the bulb, and a small amber LED too.

I finally found a source for white corner lights...anyone know where I can get some bulb paint?

Why do you want to paint them? If they are white...isnt that perfect?
