Tire Pressure Monitor 'Check Service' Light

Hi Everyone,

I just received the Tire Pressure Monitor Check Service Light and its in RED. I checked all the tires and pressure everything looks good...
im guessing it has something to do with the sensor... ...but in the manual it says if the sensor is malfunctioning the color will be yellow. Can anybody clarify? I bet this has been asked a gazillion times on this forum.

i have a 2007 e92 BMW 328i

Anybody know how much the BMW Dealerships charge to check this and replace if necessary?

Damn that TPM lol

Well your car's flat tire monitoring is based off the ABS system which detects differences in tire pressure based on wheel rotation. If your tires pressures are okay, reset your monitoring and check your tire pressure frequently over the next few days to make sure that's it in fact isn't tire pressure related.

How about when the dash indicates "Inactive"? I got my rims and tires mounted today, took my 18" 189's and removed the TPMS to put into my new v701 also in 18" with conti DW's. I've reset the system and know I'm getting the "Inactive" code? Any ideas???

You put the sensors in the new tires and the car doesn't detect them even after resetting? That is odd. If the sensors were some how damaged they wouldn't have been able to be read by the car even before resetting to recalibrate tire pressure.

Yeah... I don't get it. I'm going to hook up the BT Tool to see if I can activate the sensors somehow.?!?
