I got my own Passport GT-1 now, and have tried a few more runs. So far my best times with it are:
0-60 in 4.45s 1/4 mile in 13.00s @ 109.5mph Need to keep trying and practicing launches, but this is a lot of fun! Boostedtwin, pikkashoe and 335i-SG, I am not sure when I'll have a chance to meet up this weekend, but probably sometime Saturday afternoon. Are you guys gonna be around?

Unfortunately, I did not time (or do) any runs before I got my PROcede, so I don't have that information.

Cheluto, I cant meet up on saturday, but sunday in the afternoon I will be around.
Hey Cheluto, have you tried to calculate horsepower with the GT1. I done a couple runs with mine, and the best 0-60 ive gotten is 4.66, but it only says I have 266 peak hp. What HP numbers are you getting, and what minimum and max speeds did you use for the GT1, Im guessing this basically indicates what gear your in? 2nd seems to short to test. Sflgator, does your beltronics calculate HP? if so, what numbers is it giving you. Also, cheluto, have you removed your CDV? I find it really hard to shift from 1 to 2 when trying a timed run. What rpm did you launch at to get that 4.45? Last edited by pikkashoe; 04-27-2007 at 08:50 PM.. |

Damm your right Sflgator, I guess im going to get my car dynoed on monday then.
I dont see how its possible for the unit to really give an accurate Horsepower reading. I ran a 4.6 0-60 and it gave 266 peak horsepower in second gear. Its telling me I am making stock power with the Procede. Ill wait to monday to see what exactly the car is putting down. |

Hi pikkashoe,
We are supposed to meet up this morning. Tomorrow I can't, unfortunately I have not entered the data to calculate HP in my GT1, but do want to do it to see how it compares to the dyno numbers I got (my PROcede was installed by Shiv, so it got dyno'd there: 328.3hp/410wtq). As far as the CDV, I have not removed it, but I am seriously considering it. It does make the 1-2 shift a bit harder than it should be. I want to research more on it, though. I don't want problems with my warranty. As far as RPMs, I launched at around 1800 RPM or so. I found that the warmer the tires get, the higher I have to rev to get some wheelspin on launch (which makes sense, as they get stickier when they are hot). Quote:

where are you guys meeting up, maybe i can sneak out of work.
I tried again last night to get an accurate hp with the gt1, but it seems to be way off. Im going to Fynetune performance on monday to get dynoed. Hopefully i get those numbers you got, wow (410 tq at the wheels????) Im getting the CDV out as soon as I can. In regards to warranty, if anything goes wrong, all you do is put it right back on. I ordered the pressure bleeder to make it easier to bleed the clutch. Ill let you know how that goes. As for the 1800 rmp launch, your not on the run flats anymore right? I launched a couple times between 1500 to 1700, and it was perfect. I noticed last night I had the wrong vehicle weight in the GT1 when I did my runs, im sure that will throw off the HP figure its giving. I did run a 4.60 this morning 0-60, so I need to get that CDV out to make the 1 to 2 shift easier, I dont want to jam it thru and risk damaging the synchros. |
