Interior Cleaning. Cockpit premium vs. 303 Aerospace. Use both?

New to Detailing, though learning fast.
I am a bit confused as I don't have any interior cleaning products for my relatively new E90. (5 months old)
Dashboard, Steering, Shift Knob, Wood trim (would be nice if it works here too), interior door handles, other such areas.

Interior is Oyster Black, so enough of black area to take care of.

I am thinking of buying:

1. Einzett 1z Cockpit Premium AND (getting this for sure to cleanup)
2. 303 Aerospace protectant. (confused about this)

Are both required/recommended?

Would I be overspending for no reason by getting 303 Aerospace in addition to Cockpit Premium?
I live in Southern California which is quite sunny except for the rainy days (which have been way too many this year).

Thanks a lot guys! Waiting to order in a day or so. Hopefully I get your advice well in time

IMO both are not required. I've been using cockpit exclusively for a year and love it to death.

Same here, use cockpit only and love it.

If you're looking into these to be used on a BMW, I'd recommend just going with the 1Z for now. You'll love it.

As another quick aside, if you have to clean your leather as much as I do (jean transfer) I've found the Sonax leather foam works really well as a quick cleanup. I do more thorough cleanings with leather masters ever 6 weeks but for quick one step the Sonax is really good.

You only need one and both are great. 1Z is perfectly matte while 303 is a bit more glossy (sort of semi-gloss). Take your pick based on what you like.

A quick tip on using 1Z Cockpit, I recommend spraying on a MF towel and wiping the surface rather than spraying on the surface and then wiping.

i recommend the same method for the 303 or else you'll have to use some elbow grease to get off the inside windshield if spraying on dash

Yes which ever product you use spray into the towel first and then wipe easier to control the finish that way.

Thanks a lot guys!

Will save some bucks and just get 1Z for now. I can always order more later.

Appreciate all the comments, and advise.

For leather I am getting PB World Leather Stuff. I do get some Jeans dye on the seats though it comes off with warm moist microfiber cloth. PB stuff should be cool from what I have read in some other threads.

Its a lease vehicle, so I am not super inclined to spend a tonne of money for detailing every single thing, though I keep up with maintenance to a very good standard. The car needs to look wonderful while I have it

From my own experience...

Leathermasters is a fantastic product...definitely give it a look. Make sure you get the package that comes with the Strong Cleaner, Vital and Protection Creme. You can really tell after applying it that the leather is healthier - it's noticeably softer and richer in color (not glossy at all).

303 is also a fantastic product. I would recommend spraying it liberally on a soft MF and buffing it. I applied this stuff when all over the car when I first got it, and notice no fading at all to this day (4 years later). The finish is also perfectly matte.

Haven't tried 1Z, but I'm sure it's just as good. You won't need both - just get one or the other. The 303 isn't really for cleaning, it's just a sunscreen and protectant.

If you like the factory look of the dash as it is right now, then don't add any (gloss) dressings to it. Just 1z cockpit will suffice.

For 1Z cockpit, get yourself a Swissvax Pneu brush and spray cockpit on the surface and use the Brush to spread it evenly and really work it in, then wipe off with a MF towel.

I used to use 303 on the interior, but over time I found the finish it leaves is too glossy and attracts too much dirt. Now I normally use 303 on engine bays and wheel wells.

Usually I'll clean an interior with either cockpit of 1Z blitz if it's really gross and follow that up with Swissvax Protecton Matt.

As far as leather, look no farther than the Leather Masters products. I use Chemical Guy's leather cleaner (great bang for buck) followed up with Leather Masters Vital and Protection Cream. This leaves the leather looking like it just rolled off the assembly line and it really softens it well. Swissvax Leather Milk is also a good option.
