I'm totally shocked you didn't get exemplary service after your initial experiences and comments on here.
Hi Davy, as per my post above, we are sorry that Giotecno wasn't called during this week, this was very silly of the service advisor.

Giotecno please rest assured that you have not been forgotten about, unfortunately with lapsed warranties it can take a while longer to obtain authorisation due to the checks that need to be carried out. We're still chasing as we have been daily. I wish I'd known that you were anxious, I would have sent you emails daily.

Yeah!!! Off topic, but have to rant!....

Audi Docklands advisors should work on their basic customer service skills!!!...they nearly lost my service book!....and no, not a word of apology, had to beg the service advisor to get the technician to keep looking....they eventually found it , in another car!!!....

The approach of the service advisor was just " we will post you a duplicate in the next few days..."

I said, what about the pre delivery stamp??? ....He was like " ewww...where did you buy it from?...we'll need to get it stamped again..."

I don't understand the approach of some people....when they make mistakes and don't even apologise!...

Hi Giotecno, SA has just left a voicemail with a little update for you, no progress since Friday unfortunately. We'll let you know as soon as we have something to tell you.

Hi,

I have a complaint about some tyres that I purchased via Sytner Chigwell.
Since buying some 255/35/18 runflats around 10 months ago, i have found that almost every month, the tyre tread has been reducing in size. They are also not as shiny as they once were, and the pretty chalk lines running around the tyre have all but disappeared.

Now Anneka did give me a good price at the time, but she didn’t tell me that the tyres were likely to wear out, change colour and not be the same as when they were sold to me. I think this isn’t very fair, as it now appears that in around 5 months i’m going to have to replace them. This is going to cost me money, and I’m sure that Sytner will not be interested in helping me out. I really can’t see that this is fair. If they told me my tyres would wear out then fine, but I think this is very bad. How was i supposed to know ? I am thinking about either a warranty claim or going to watchdog and getting my case on TV.

I’ve tried ringing Sytner with my complaints, but for some strange reason, I keep getting cut off, or sometimes the phone goes muffled and i can just make out people talking and saying things like ‘crank’ and ‘fruitloop’. This again is very bad service. My calls are never returned. What am I doing wrong ?

To top it all, I’ve since found out I can get the tyres 12 pence cheaper by importing them from Nigeria. Again, why did Sytner not tell me this at the time of purchase ?? I’ve wasted 48 pence for no reason which i could have put towards my stamp collection. Another thing offered to me from Nigeria was the option to put some money in my bank account, and then transfer most of it to another account but still be left with some serious cash. I don’t know why a place like Sytner can’t offer this. I’m very upset by it all.

I hope someone can help me, because I clearly can’t help myself.

Yours,

Mr Miffed

Anneka thank you for your response, I am not usually anxious but when I have been promised a call, as a customer, I do have the expectation of receiving one, even if it meant that there is still no progress its nice to know that you are been taken care of as the whole Customer services experience is mainly about communication and the delivery of the service offered (in my opinion) and I feel let down on both, but I will await the out come and hope that after the third visit, the issues are resolved. I would like to again thank you for your quick response and professionalism.

Hi Giotecno, thanks for your kind words about my support.
I can't believe that you weren't called back but I've spoken to the service advisor and he is sorry. Certain warranty situations (with out going into too much detail about your own case) require us to cut through more red tape than usual. We're sorry it's taking a while to get to where we need to be, but hopefully work can begin soon.

Finally my problem with the key fob has been resolved. After 4 trips to the dealer, which in total was around 6 days in total, Chigwell finally came through. The issue with the key fob was the rear wind screen which apparently is the anntena for the key fob I am told and since that got changed over my key works normal. My last visit was a positive one as I did feel the Service adviser was doing his best to keep me informed and get my issue resolved efficently, I will no doubt give credit where its due and on my last visit Sytner came through. I wish it didnt take 4 trips to resolve but now I am happy. One thing to note guys Extended warranty is a life saver, in the last few months I had my ERG stat replaced all glow plugs replaced, some sort of control box replaced , common rail sensor replaced and whole rear windscreen all done under warranty. I would like to Thank Anneka for getting things going and communication.

Super!

It was a very funny key!
I tried sometime last week (I think) for about 15 minutes. I tried from a far as 21 meters away with no problems. However, different story when I got nearer to the car; on every 4th-5th consecutive unlock (within about 10 seconds of the last), you could here the mechanism but none of the locks opened! I'm not sure if that was the problem that they found in the end but I'm glad that it's all sorted now.

Your attempt at humor via sarcasm is weak.
Also, i understand this is subjective, but 15 months on a set of tires is s... not so good.
Further, there is nothing wrong with shopping around as I have been able to find OEM tires at a reputable dealer for half the price of what the dealer wants.
why you like dealer so much on your knees for them?

If any of you guy's want bad service should try sytner harold wood?
their a mile up the road from me but I'm never going there again

Booked my 335D in advance so I could get a courtesy car
just for it's first service engine and brake fuild change only done 8,000 mile told them to leave the mircofilter as I'll change that next time it's in.

Told them I was paying cash and if I could get the price for the fuild change 240

But I got no courtesy car and they put the micro filter in and my bill was 320 had to phone the wife for debit card to pay the balance?

and don't get me start on the wife car?

You can't go wrong with sytner chigwell great service should of gone there but as harold wood are 5 mins away though I would try them out bad mistake the only gripe I have is the courtesy car I get from chigwell hate mini's 1.6 auto's 17mpg I did get a 1 series convertible last time I was there
