07' function in 06' FSW_PSW file ??
Hi there !
just finally goes my cable work ! And dumped my FSW_PSW file. But I found in it some welcome light related function, angel eyes has DRL function,... But I know these function appear only on e90 after 04/07. So can anyone tell me if that is normal and if everyone have these function in her FSW_PSW although have a 06' car. If yes, I dont understand why these function are present while these options did not exist on the E90 at this time. Can anyone guide me? |

From my experience, eventhough we think the very first readout of the main CAS module is our backup of our "virgin" car, it actually is not...it's somehow contaminated by the .TRC/.MAN files that already exist in the Work directory that comes with the NCSExpert software...if I were to do it all over again, I would have emptied the content of those two files before taking any readouts...it's been said on the forum that at any time you can return your car to "virgin" state by emptying the .MAN file and selecting Process car...

I agree with Wissam.
After playing with NCS for a while, I also think that the 221+ kb FSW_PSW.TRC that is placed in the \WORK directory is a master copy that is generated by NCS. It is NOT a readout of all the available options on your modules. Then after you choose which module you want to read, it will display the actual readout. FRM does not have much control over AE for DRL lighting. For that you will need NFRM which is FRM2/FRM3.
