18 in. Alufelgen CS7 fitment on E90

I have a question about fitting 18 in. CS7 wheels on a 2011 E90 sedan. I have been told that the 18 in. CS7 wheels were made for the 1-series and won't fit the E90.
However, when I calculate the offset, it appears that they would fit with about half an inch less offset than the stock BMW 18 in. wheels:
BMW stock 18 in. wheels:
18X8.0 ET34 front/18X8.5 ET37 rear
CS7 18 in. wheels:
18X8.0 ET45 front/18X9.0 ET48 rear

Also, I would be using 225/40 tires in front and 255/35 in the rear.

I have used an offset calculator and it says that the CS7 wheels would fit fine, with even more room than the stock wheels/tires. I don't mind a more conservative offset, and to me, half an inch would hardly be noticeable.

What say you?

Thanks,

Tom

Those really need some spacers.

To be conservative, you would probably need a 10mm spacer up front and a 15mm in the back. Are that the only offset they offer in the 18" wheel?

The 18" CS7 is intended for the 1 series. They will probably fit on your E90 but there are two issues:

1) They may not clear the brakes (not sure as I haven't seen it done)
2) They would be extremely conservative. Enough that it would be very noticeable.

That's what I suspected. Thanks for information.

No problem. You are talking about a difference of about 15mm from the ideal offset so that is why it isn't suggested.

I just love the look of the CS7's and would prefer an 18 inch wheel because the potholes here. If I REALLY wanted the CS7's it looks like I could use 10mm spacers F/R to bring them closer to the stock wheel offset.
There are other 18 inch wheel options. I'm thinking about VMR V10's also.

Thanks for the input.

I'm in the same situation...19's just aren't practical for the roads around here. I really love the look and quality of the CS7's why wont they just make them in 18" for E90's?!!! Any other good 18" CSL rep options out there besides VMR?

I decided to go with a staggered 18-inch VMW V710 setup in hyper silver. I just placed an order with Eric at PYSpeed. I like the VB3 wheels a bit better, but it seems like they are on back order everywhere and I didn't want to wait. My new baby, a LeMans blue E90 with M-sport package is ready for shipment after assembly in Germany.
