Hood latch issue
For some reason, my hood has a hard time latching on the driver side. It has gotten worse over time. Before I would just push it down to latch. Now it takes a few bumps to latch.
I also noticed that the square brackets on the left and right side of the hood that go into the latches are a little loose. They are screwed into the hood, but the screws do not actually tighten. Has anyone else had these problems? |

Yes, Ive had this exact same problem.
Theres two parts to the latch, the first one swings closed when the hook initialy goes in and the the seconadary latch (rear one) flips over the first. On my car, the secondary would not engage. If I held the hood down long enough, it would eventualy close but after a while it just stopped latching at all. I sprayed a bit of white grease and got it moving freely again. Problem has not come back. |

you can either lube it and it will probably come back at some point-be sure to work it a few times first so its loose. Or-you can replace the latch and be done with it.
