question on tire size?
So, I'm finally in the market for some non runflats.
I've been peeking at some tires in 245/40/18 for the front and 275/35/18 for the rear. I plan on lowering it a bit at some point with the Ohlins kit, but not tucking. I like the aggressive, yet still meaty looking stance. So, what I am curious about is: 1. Will these fit the stock 189's on an e92 with the sport suspension without rubbing? 2. Could I eventually run these tires on a more aggressively offset wheel later on without having to dump in excessive amounts of negative camber or keep the car jacked up near stock height? 3. What kind of mileage have you guys been getting out of these tires? 4. and lastly, what is your overall comparison to the stock run flats? I wanna pull the trigger on some new rubber soon, but am a tad nervous since I haven't looked into tires in soooooo long. (last vehicle was a truck) Last edited by mycoupe; 03-25-2011 at 10:58 PM.. Since the OEM wheels are only 8" and 8.5" wide, I wouldn't go wider than 235 in the front and 255 in the rear even though some do 265 in the rear.

Before you finalize your tire model, you may want to double check stock. The General UHP's have been discontinued and the sizes you may want might be unavailable.

Well poop! I guess I might as well not even bother with them then if that's the case. I would hate to end up loving them and never be able to get another set! haha...I'll update the OP to read for any tires in those sizes then.
