PBX and Service Engine Soon Light
I have had my PBX installed on my 325 for almost a year now. Recently, my Service Engine Soon light has been coming on randomly. If I set the PBX to zero, basically as if it's off, the SES light will go off eventually. Then I set the PBX back to map 3, and everything is fine for a few weeks, then the light pops on again. Can anyone shed some light on this? Has it happened to anyone else. No other problems, and computer check says everything is ok. I have service coming up in about 3k miles.

PBX and Service Engine Soon Light
Same happened to me. It cut engine power. I took to dealership and they said they could not recreate. It happened 3 days later. I switched to 0 and it has not happend again in the last 45 days or so. I plan to get the sprint booster and call it a day. Will sell the PBX on the very cheap.

I never had that problem. I notice you guys have 325i's though.. Maybe there is slight difference in the ECU coding between the 325, 328, and 330.

sounds like a coincidence that the CEL is just coming on and off because some emissions problem is happening sporatically and you just happen to also be changing your pbx settings.

Yeah. This time I didn't reset the PBX and left it on map 3, and he SES light went off by night time. I also have been running a carbon filter delete and muffler delete the same amount of time. Should I be worried then though, or is it not too big of a deal since there are no other warnings.

I'm on map 0 for more then two months now and I got a CES light too. I would say it stayed on for a good two weeks. But I left the car without driving it for over a week and when I started it again it was gone.
I'm gonna hook up my BT cable to see what event created it and keep you posted. OP do you have access to a diag tool?

Get BT Cable or get the car scanned. The codes are stored so the light doesn't have to be on for you to be able to see the code. Mike |

What event did the scanner tell you?
