Jb3 steptronic problem
Currently picked up used jb3 not completely sure what version but its the latest pnp and i have dci currently running map 3 with 93 oct. The problem is when launching the car at the top of first or second with dtc completely off (4 second hold) it feels like dtc is still cutting throttle. The car just falls on its face once it loses traction...wtf. After that it catches and then shifts and pulls like a freight train. Any ideas?
Ryan ***********fixed....didn't realize that the car shifted on it own at redline in manual mode and I was shifting the steptronic the same time the ecu was shifting and was going from 1st to third gear************** Last edited by jetblack07; 06-24-2011 at 12:01 AM.. |

Hold the button down till the wheel spin icon comes up.
Also, dont hold the petal completely to the floor. You want it to shift around 6.3-6.5k, you dont make any power after that |

Not being rude. Thanks for your input. The fuel pump is brand new fuel with less than 500 miles on it. Sorry if I came off that way. I just got frustrated since I posted the info. and thought I was pretty clear.

Chances are its not a steptronic problem.
If you want an answer you should be data logging petal vs throttle position. Or just listen to the fact that power falls on its face in the higher RPMs. Shift earlier. |
