Do you have any waxes/sealants yet, or are you looking to purchase something? |

I'm just starting out too:
I'm going with the following for my Jet Black 2006: Meguires New DA Correction Compound (using their microfibre pad and backing plate) Menzerna's 106FA (using red crimson LC pad, I also bought some white pads) Blackfire Wet Diamond for seal (blue and black pads) Dodo Supernatural Wax (using foam applicator) - I only bought a little as it is expensive For maintenance washes: dodo mild shampoo + tropical red mist |

For the 106FA, I would go with LC Tangerine H2O pads instead of the red crimson. IMHO, you don't need crimson if you are getting a black/blue pad.

I use Menzerna 203 a lot for one step polish. It has almost the same level cut as a Super Intensive polish and finishes like a 106 Super finish. You can increase/decrease the cut level with the pads that you use. I think M205 has a cut slightly more than superfinish and I like to have a polish with diminishing abrasives for a nice finish.

Polishing First Step
Meguiar's Ultra-Cut Compound M105 and an Lake Country Orange Light Cutting Pad Polishing Second Step Meguiar's Ultra Finishing Polish M205 - Lake Country White Polishing Pad OR Menzerna Super Finish (PO106FA Nano Polish) - Lake Country White Polishing Pad The Menzerna Micro Finish (PO85RD Polish) is not necessary to do next but some people like it for that extra 2%+ of optical clarity. If you use it I usually use a blue or crimson pad. On silver paint you are even less likely to notice the improvement in my experiences. Protection As for protection afterward the Menzerna Power Lock Polymer Sealant and the Blackfire Wet Diamond with Polycharger are my two favorite choices with blue pads. If you have any questions don't hesitate to ask. Also don't forget your 10% off code "e90post". Take care! Greg @ DI |
