BSW Stage 1 and SWS-8 (E92)

After about a month of researching on here and around the web, I decided to go for it. I installed the Earthquake SWS-8's with an Earthquake Mono Amp, Thanks to azwillNJ for the install directions . Also a shout out to jtsherri for the spacers and pieces to hold the carpet back down when the grill is off. Then I ordered and installed BSW's Stage 1 kit for the hifi. Shout out to Halston at BSW for all the extra support. I had no prior experience with car audio before this and everyones advice helped alot. I love the way my car sounds now.

I can answer questions to the best of my ability or point you in the right direction

BSW Stage 1 $524 shipped
Earthquake SWS-8's $220 for 2 (low ball bid on ebay "Sonix Electronics")
Earthquake Mono Amp $160 Amazon
Earthquake Amp install kit $39 Sonic Electronics
Line Out Converter $19 Fry's
Dynamat Extreme front door kit $46 Amazon.... I did every piece I could think of and still have extra

Time 6 hours over two days

I had the same setup until I blew out both sws's. Did you seal yours to your enclosures? I think mine were leaking and reaching peak extension with just a little bit of sound, causing the woofers to fail.

I am amping the stock subs with an alpine 2.150 now, but the clarity isn't as good as the sws's.

Yes mine are sealed and Dynamat everywhere. I havent pushed the SWS's yet and i dont really plan to. They sound sharp and clean right now.

Very Much. To be honest, I wasnt sure what I was expecting with just changing the speakers and not adding an Amp to them but the difference blew me away.

the tweeters are way better than stock HIFI
and the mids go down lower.
for the money, it's hard to beat them, especially when you consider they are plug and play
i don't believe anything else out on the market is that easy to install without fabricating rings, and finding speakers that fit etc
at least in the coupe
