Lowest beneficial IAT for maximum timing advance ?
Hi,
We all want low IATs on the N54 engine, but is there a "lowest IAT" under which there is no benefit as far as ignition timing is concerned ? I mean, if at let's say 20 Celsius the ECU provides max timing, is there a point of further lowering that IAT via methanol/water injection ? (I am not talking about the octane increasing properties of the methanol, but just the cooling properties). |

Honestly, the colder the better is true up until the temp changes from combustion to intake temps could cause metal fatigue.
The more o2 in the chamber the better. |
