Congratulations on the M3. I really want to add more upgrades to my suspension because a tuned 335 is already a fast car. I really don't care to spend more money to go a couple of tenths of a second faster. A better handling car is more fun. Thats why a miata or S2000 is loads more fun to drive than a 335 or M3 IMO. That being said, the M3 is a very well rounded car that is also very fun to drive.
But who really cares what non car people think? I honestly don't even care what car people think. I didn't buy the car to impress others. I actually wish the care wasn't a BMW most of the time. I know everyone has different objectives and benefits of owning a certain car, so I'm not knocking you. |

Congrats, the M3 is an great car for sure! I understand your logic behind the whole warranty thing, sometimes you just say to yourself "it makes sense to buy a car that is already fast stock, rather than mod one to be fast and dealing with warranty issues/worries". Good luck to you and your new ride!

I still miss my old RSX with Mugen suspension mods, and later RX-8. Both were slow, but the weight and handling more than made up for it. Most fun cars I've ever owned. Owning a BMW has a more obsessive quality that I find hard to define. It's a different kind of OCD rooted enthusiasim. ![]() |

Nice, honestly i've thought about trading my car in for a m3. But its close to being paid off and I'm going to get married and buy a house, so it would be dumb to pull the trigger.
Good luck with the car! Funny comments about your friends, you know most people don't even know the 335 has a turbo, or how fast it can be made. I wouldn't worry about thier comments.

Let me get this straight... You are swapping out parts designed by some of the top engineers in the world because some guys sponsored by a company told you it's "better??" But when you ask the same guy about tracking, "oh no, I have a kid now" or "I just detailed my car." or "i just got new tires."
