The first reply told you that you only need a litre so there was no need to put any more than that in. I put about 3/4 of a 1 litre bottle in on mine which took it the full mark. I was always told it is far worse to overfill oil than to put a bit less in.
I think it's always handy to have a topup bottle of oil in the boot as you never know when you might need oil. I check mine regularly using the menu in the i-drive system and can see how much oil I'm burning (which thankfully isn't very much at all). |

I cant beleive you actually gave in and bought the oil.
Why pay for the servicing package if you dont wish to use it? Don't let a dealer who is wrong get in the way, the website clearly states oil topups are part of the service! |

I've emailed BMW customer Service so will see what happens.
When I phoned the dealer they said you can come and talk about it but I don't want you to think you will get it done and not have to pay. I also wasn't sure if the terms had changed for the better since I took the policy out. The local dealer is 20 miles from my house and tbh I just wanted to get home from work and have a nice tug . |

I've just got an email from BMW customer services stating that this was added to the inclusive pack from last year. Fair Enough!
