More JB4 CPS dyno testing and new N54 stock turbo torque record?

BMS has continued their CPS module testing and I thought I would share the results as there has been a lot of discussion about this over the last few months so the more data we have the better.

I also wanted to point out that the new CPS module will also incorporate the Speed Delimiter for those who are interested Also attaching a monster TQ dyno pull

Spent a couple more hours on the dyno testing out the new fully user adjustable CPS offset interface. It works similar to map 6 where you enter the offset amount in 500 RPM increments.

Since the last round of testing I've gone back to the factory 135i 2.75" catback, factory mid cats, and factory rims/runflats. All runs were done on map 2 (14.5psi) and Shell 91 octane for consistency except where noted.

I have a lot of data to go through so will only share a subset. But after testing a few various CPS curves w/ 91 octane, including more offset down low, more up top, etc, I came to the same conclusion as last time. Meh. No amount of offset allowed the car to support 14.5psi on 91 octane without drops.

While it was strapped down with all the talk of fueling I decided to answer the question of how much torque the stock turbos can support. And frankly I was pretty surprised. Now keep in mind this is through the factory mid cats and exhaust with heavy stock rims/tires. With 91 octane, denatured alcohol, and a can of octane booster. The chart speaks for itself. I think 500rtq+ is easily doable. Interestingly I found no air/fuel problems at this torque level. Which is odd as we've had problems at this same torque level with larger turbos. As always work continues.

Here is a dyno sheet of the SLD in action. Their non-sport used to be limited to 130mph. Holds pretty good power through that 4->5 shift too.
