Questions about lease and modding
Hi all,
I have a couple of questions for you locals. I have a lease from hassel, it’s a e90 335i xdrive m-sport. I want to Mod it. Firstly, I want to drop it. I was thinking eibach springs on stock shocks. -Would that void my lease? -Would the ride be very I live in Queens NY harsh? I also want to get JB3 and a BOV. -I know JB3 is easy to install and uninstall, but is the BOV difficult to install? Thank you and nice to meet a couple of you guys at the hooters meet! -M Last edited by MTP335; 04-20-2011 at 02:45 PM.. |

I hear the ride is very harsh on stock shocks if you just drop it on springs. Also you blow out your struts faster cuz they are not made for lowering springs.

BoV isn't that bad of an install and removal. I never leased a car before so I'm not sure how misled check-ins etc work on a lease. Just have a good SA in Hassle and it should be fine I think?

it would not void your lease but they can put it in the system that you mod. your suspension. So in the future when you DO bust a strut they might or might not use that against you.
You can only be denied from warranty if a certain mod is the cause of the problem - they need to prove it. you can also do what a few of my friends were doing ......service at one dealership w/ mods and when it came down to certain warranty work whereas the mods might be the cause - swap the oem parts back and go to a different dealer Dont listen to me but im just saying (O= |
