Piaa Angel Eye Question

When in the O position and you start your car at night.....do your angels blink back and fourth for about 15 secs. Everything works normal....my buddy had his over last nigt and his does it too. Normally, I'm in the Auto position so this doesn't happen but when we put the lights to the O....Blink Blink Blink.

When placed in the "automatic driving lights setting," the Footwell Module (FRM), which controls all exterior lighting funcitons, indirectly receives information from the rain lights sensor to switch the lights on and off.

The blinking occurs because our cars send low pulses of low current to the sense the resistance of the bulbs--i.e., to make sure they are all in working order. The incandescent bulbs (OEM angel bulbs) require heating of a metal element to light up. The current is not high or on long enough for us to see any illumination. The LEDs, on the other hand, require less current, and light up instantly. The pulses occur during the first few seconds the car is started, and every 1.5 minutes (<-- I may be off on this figure).
