I went with 245/275 because I already had the tires on my 166 M5 rims that I had on my 550. Initially I was not that excited about the change in the steering feel going from 225s to 245s in front, but I have now adjusted. The only advantage I can see is more grip. Probably when I replace tires I will go to the 235/265 setup. As far as the 245/275 vrs 235/275 I would go with the former as this is how BMW sets things up in the 5 series.

To you guy's that have fitted 245s to the front have you been able to increase corner speed? I'm guessing but with the larger fronts turn-in must be suffering severly so even though corner speed per se may improve, getting through a series of bends may not be any faster?

I'm running 235f 275r, 265 to 275 is a good step up but also you wanna step up the front as well. The wider, the griper. So if your rear has more grip than the front, your car is most likely understeer more than oversteer. If you want to improve the understeer, you wanna have more grip in the front(wider tire).
I would say slightly taller wall size tire in the rear will handle better. 275/30/19 > 235/35/19 not so much but very very very close 275 looks better than 265 |

Usually people use 265 to get that "poke" effect and use spacers to get that herra frush look. You really won't feel the understeer unless you are pushing the car...

Pics in my album of 265 conti on 10" sidewalk looks incredible, 275 would look to average.
My sony cam doesn't take flattering pics.

Yes would you please post up a pic. I just ordered some wheels with +38 offset. Planning on going with 275/30/19 in rear and 235/35 in front like you. Would like to see how your stance is with the +35 ET in front. I think +30 would be too aggressive as my tire would rub for sure with that. I test fitted +38 today and was happy with the look. Would love to see profile and rear or down the side of your car views in the pics. Thanks!!

I now know they will take +25 on all 4 corners. NO FENDER ISSUES Conti's will stretch real nice right under your fenders! +38 is just leaving some lip to be desired!

What do you mean by leaving lip to be desired? You mean it limits the width of the lip because of the offset?

Yes the lower the offset the fatter the lip even if the rim is the same width! check out stancenation.com many of those cars are +0 offset.
