Lowering IAT's & containing exhaust heat
Not a DCI/CAI war, I know the purpose of a DCI.....the question is: Has anyone taken steps to improve on their existing set-up using heatshield, wraps, heat bags, powder coating etc.
Has anyone wrapped (bagged) their turbos, DP's, exhaust, or CAI/DCI piping? shown to reduce IAT or increase HP gains?

I think you simply do it best (and pay less) with a meth kit.
Your valves will thank you. |

I did. I have a true CAI (see my sig), a large intercooler, ceramically coated downpipes (in and out) and a meth kit Also rich AFRs specific to flash tunes in order to keep EGTs in check...

Definitely, that will peak out our gains on the intake side. What about the other side........
I've seen bags for turbos, headers, DP's, wraps for exhausts. Reviews from other communities are good. Has anyone done it to a 335i?

Sorry, last was to Mucclo
Ur CAI custom....like to see pics. Thinking about heat bagging turbos, headers, DP's, and wrapping the mid-pipe....wonder if there be any measurable benefit....
