there a tsb about the cowl cover leaiking. dont know if affects your model year, but its worth looking into. is your blower motor ok? also check to see if your leave catch on top of the drain is clogged.

there was something about the cowl cracking and leaking water into the footwell and blowing out the blower motor. exactly the symptoms you describe. lemme see if i can find it for you

If your windshield was ever replaced it could be the issue.
I had a badly installed windshield on a CPO I bought, it leaked during rain and car wash into the passenger foot-well. |

the windshield has never been replaced as far as i know but i bought the car under CPO so maybe the last owner did.
i made an appt, will have them check it out and go from there. |
