Hey guys, simple question:

CF fabric + 3M Super77 adhesive

or

CF Vinyl 3M Dinoc

Both are reversible and about the same price (CF Fabric is slightly cheaper). Effort/work is not an issue as I will be doing this myself and I am looking for end product quality.

The vinyl would be pretty easy to clean, how is the CF Fabric in terms of keeping it clean?

I used the fabric for my interior. Its been on for about 6 months and starting to peel off in certain spots..
I will be trying the 3m di noc vinyl, it will probably be a better choice

the fabric looks more like the OEM carbon fiber trim but the di-noc is alot easier to work with.

Nedim and Radar This, care to share how your pieces are lifting and if there's anyway to prevent it ahead of time?

Nedim did you us super 77?

I may end up just ordering a piece of cf fabric to play with since it's only like 25$.

I used 3m Dinoc on my trim and it looks pretty good. But I do I higly suggest getting somebody to help you because it'll definitely make the job a lot easier.

carbon fiber fabric: 1s q's u had was how u clean it, easy just wipe it off with a damp rag, if really dirty, use some rubbing alcohol and wipe off. 2nd for guys that had lifting issues around the corners/edges, you need to make more cuts to relieve stress in those spots. also you want to use fabritac glue (clear stuff from fabric store) on those spots when you wrap over the back edge of the part your doing. this will fix your lifting issues. DO NOT USE SUPER GLUE/CRAZY GLUE on folded over edges as it makes the fabric harden up like a rock n stick to nothing.

3m di-noc: cleans up the same way, damp rag, rubbing alcohol. same principle applies here, on lifting corners you must make many incisions around corners/bends/dips/curves to release the stress. also what 99% of peeps DO NOT do is buy the 3m primer94 adhesive to promote bonding around sharp corners/curves/bends/dips/etc... you want to apply this around the edges you are folding over so it will stick. 3m di-noc must be heated up and pretty flimsy prior to being pressed down against the surface that has 3m primer94 applied to it. this will take care of most lifting that peeps have issues with. most peeps just roll the material over a edge when the vinyl is hard, that is not gonna do you any good. lastly you want to stretch di-noc lightly over your surface as opposed to stabbing at it with a squeegie to lay it down smoothly, do enough wraps and you will get it... 85% hand laying/smoothing, 15% squeegie use.

i have done over 100 wrap projects in the past 1.5yrs or so... i use both products on a regular bases and have wrapped interior trims to bike parts to engine bay parts to a whole dashboard. more to come!

Yup i did use super 77. it just starts coming off after time / sun / heat, especially around the edges

same happened with me. i fixed those stubborn edges with epoxy and it looks great again.

I had my interior of my 335i wrapped with the fabric. It's been on there for close to two years and not a single issue. It looks fantastic. I bought some of the 3M stuff for my Evo IX when I owned it and was not as impressed with the way it looked. No matter what I did I could not keep it from bubbling up in the summer months. Fabric for the interior is definitely the way to go. I have pictures posted in the Sponsor's section under the BavarianX wrap post if you want to see examples, but I'm sure you've already seen examples. The pictures do not do it justice. One look in person of the fabric versus the vinyl and you'll think fabric all the way.

keep scaning these forums until you find a real cf interior trim at a good price. i just bought mine from someone on these forums for 350.
