Just spoke with my CA and he mentioned my car already cleared the VPC an is currently waiting for transport to the dealership. ETA is 5/4 !!!

Is it Friday yet???

Allow my misery to provide you solace: the truck was scheduled to arrive today, but never showed up.

CA's pissed because now he can't add my car to his April quota. I'm pissed...well, you all know why I'm pissed!

So hopefully tomorrow. It's one thing to be at the mercy of BMW, but an entirely different, and perhaps more frustrating, thing to be at the mercy of contractors (WW, Bav. Motor Transport)!!

Upstate328 in the UNDINE thread said his 800# status changed to in transit this morning. And he just got the CALL!!! (He's in NY, close to the VPC). I am thinking the 800# would be more accurate than OC as it has always been.

Question, sorry if it's common knowledge to some of you guys out there, not to this chick

Does "in transit" on the 800 number mean its on a trailer to dealer? Maybe I misread the above....I'm at the VPC so now I can't track anything right, I'm at the mercy of the VPC like someone else said right? I'm freaking outtttttt!

9 weeks and 3 days since i put in my damn order!!!!!! aaaaaah!

Mine was at the VPC according to the OC website, and on the 800# it said "At the port awaiting a shipping vessel". Then yesterday the 800# changed to "In transit" and this morning my CA called to say it will be here tomorrow and I can get it Thursday. So, my educated guess is that "In transit" means released from the VPC to the trucking company, but then it needs to be scheduled for trucking + the drive time to your BMW Center. Are you upstate or in the city? Another guy on LI got his the same day as the truck delivered it. Mine is taking an extra day.

Assuming mine makes it to the dealer sometime this week, I still have to wait to pick it up until 5/19

I wasn't expecting to make it on the Patriot so quick - and figured up to 2 weeks at the VPC.

What if gets to the dealer early and I can't pick it up for 2 weeks? THEY WON'T SELL IT WILL THEY??!?!

I guess I could and change my flight to pick it up early....although that's more $$$. It doesn't help my CA doesn't return my emails, and phone calls don't work very well either I've noticed...

Oh well, all part of the experience I guess!

Best bet after you car gets off the boat is to talk to your CA. The 800# automated thing tells me my car is at the port waiting for a boat...

The online thing tells me the car is at VPC.

I asked my CA and he mentioned the car already cleared VPC and is expected at the dealer by 5/4.....

WHile your CA wont be able to track your car on a moment by moment basis, he should have a very good idea on where you stand...

1800# says I'm at the port, but CA just told me the car left NJ at 1:00pm today, so arriving at the dealer right about now. Which means i'll have my grubby little paws on her tomorrow!
