pedal install
i have been meaning to post these for a while and dont feel the need to do another DIY, but wanted to show how i did the dead pedal, I removed the plastic oem one and mounted directly to the carpet, it is either plastic or metal underneath so it is very secure and looks way better in IMO
here are a few shitty phone shots ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Doesn't feel weird to me. If anything, they feel better because the rubber lines on the aftermarket pedals grip the tread of my shoes better than the stock pedals did. I like em!

i just got those pedals as well and i am going to install them soon. whats the difference between what you did with the dead pedal vs. just putting it over the dead pedal? and how did you get it off? thanks

I got a nice semi stock set from ECS tuning. The gas pedal was easy, but the brake pedal was IMPOSSIBLE. I am debating taking the gas pedal out and just selling the set for 100... eh...

You need a titanium or cobalt bit to drill thru the brake. Was that the difficulty, otherwise the ones pictured are simple to install with a few hand tools.

These are what I got. Just a subtle change. The brake pedal is a pullover rubber piece, but with the stainless overlay it is practically impossible to outfit over the pedal....sigh...I gave up ![]() |

http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...ghlight=pedals There isn't much difference between mounting the new dead pedal over the stock one, or removing the stock one first. Might sit slightly lower. Just preference really. I left my stock dead pedal in. Quote:

Thanks Pat, but those arent the same pedals I got. The ones in my link are just a gas pedal and a brake slip on rubber pedal. Mine are supposed to just "pull right over"... meh, I'll get my install shop to slap it on once I get my rocker panels
