Birthday weekend ideas
Not interested in the usual lounge bar setup this year
I was running through some ideas for 27th bday.. Maybe casino. Ac or ct. Throw a pool party Six flags was something out of the ordinary Gokarting/atv? Gun range? Skydiving ? Maybe track ? No sport events No big comedy acts in nyc in the time I checked. (next weekend) What are some things you guys recommend for a quick getaway or fun event for 2

The gun range is a great time, though it's somewhat monotonous. I'd pass on that one. Skydiving is amazing (went last year) but it's over in about 10 minutes and usually out of the way. Perhaps combining a few of these would be the way to go depending upon your schedule/budget? Skydiving on Friday followed by Foxwoods on Saturday/Sunday, perhaps? Gokarting might be worth throwing that in the mix, too, if you do lots of activities in one. This time of year is a bit cold for my taste for a pool party. For my birthday, I'll be either at Foxwoods/MGM for a few nights or doing something random, like going to Spain or Italy. A bit of randomness never hurt anyone. Best of luck with your plans and happy birthday. ![]() ![]() |

Yeah the casino thing is nice and all, but as long as you don't carried away with gambling lol, my itch is strong. The black jack dealer always calling my name :P Few random things to keep busy might be a good idea, this way if one thing doesn't plan out it works out in the end. I agree on the range, and skydiving. I needed to be here so I didn't plan a short vacation, next yr def. The only problem with the casinos on the weekend the rooms are like $500+ not worth it, and i don't go there enough to get comp'd, and I hate staying outside of the casino..

Casinos can offer other forms of entertainment, though, aside from just gambling. My fiance isn't a big gambler at all, so we usually will see a show (or two) over the weekend, dine at some great restaurants, walk around for a bit to take in the atmosphere/shopping, and visit the spa/pool. If you're into night clubs, most casinos (well, that I know of) have them and they are active on Friday/Saturday nights. Road trips are fun, too. ![]() |

ahh nice! Club scene should still be okay eh?
This is gonna be like a friends only thing? If you are interested in some NYC Clubs, a great friend of mine is a owner of a few venues and I can gladly pass on his contact to you.
