Almost stranded by the BM!

WARNING - this thread contains disappointment...

Had a cracking surf yesterday then jumped in the car to drive home - flipping seat belt was stuck! Did all sorts for about 20 mins to try and sort it but to no avail. So drove off without it on (cranked up the music to hide the bonging warning sound!) and felt VERY naked without it on!

Gave it a little pull a mile or so down the road and it worked fine - phew!

I stick my surfboard in the boot (rear split seat down) and it pushes a little against the seatbelt area - so assume it somehow caught the mechanism or something?!

Was in a bit of a hurry so calling the breakdown bods was a no no.

Anyone else done similar?

The rear middle belt was stuck when I bought it - BMW sorted it FOC.

I just severed my own arm with a teaspoon while stuck in a ditch in the Amazon. I survived for many minutes on a diet of mozzie poo and dew and didn't even call anyone for help.

Am I exonerated now?

They did indeed - luckily I surfed next to RAF St Mawgan so I was stranded for mere minutes.

Cool seeing the BM airlifted by a Chinook. Might need the tracking sorted as the landing was a bit heavy.

dude, stranded is when you get a flat wheel, dont have run flat tyres and all you have is a can of foam in the boot and not a spare wheel
